Very nice!
Do you have a pic of the other side?
Possibly with the Primary cover off?
I know... weird request!
Sam.

Thanks Mike!
That's a pre-unit motor.
What I am looking into is the feasability of running a Pre-unit cover on a unit motor... for pure aesthetics.
Sam.
Sam, I think it could be done if you'd run a dry clutch and belt drive...such as a MAP belt kit. Other wise you're going to need an inner(fabricated)and outer (factory pre-unit)cover to meet up with the primary-side case and form a tight oil seal.
Motor looks good...I've been thrashing on mine as well. I'll have some pics to post before too long, but I don't want to give away too much until after its debut at the Roundup. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Thanks Brian.
I'm new to these things... but know what I want, which makes for a dangerous situation!
Got any links to the belt drives or dry clutches? People who sell them? Pictures?
What I was thinking about was an aluminum adaptor made from 3/16" aluminum. I can have it CNC machined... so it'll be spot on. I'm just wondering about clearence issues.
When's the roundup? No peeky before then, huh?
Sam.

Grab a copy of The Classic Motorcycle or Classic Bike and have a look at the classifieds.
There are some pics and a decent description on this completed ebay auction:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2459385654&category=35 618
As you can see...they aren't cheap.
Roundup is the end of next month. I'm almost done with the paint on the freshly cleaned-up and slightly molded frame, and ready to start reassembly. I'll probably post a couple of teaser pics when it starts to look like something again. Here's what it looked like shortly after I got it and made a few changes..it's completely different this time around...and I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's going to be a change for the better:

Cool, thanks!
Are you running the same tank, Brian?
I've ben wondering what brand that particular tank is... I think I may want one like it... and then try to narrow it a tad.
Thanks again,
Sam.

thanks all...we layed it out with a wax pen bout a hundred ways til i saw one that i dug..
im thinkin Bass' tank is a paughco mustang or very close...can't wait to see it finshed man its got some great lines
It's a Paughco low-tunnel Mustang Tank. I was going to run it because it's in really nice shape, but I really wanted a dual-cap Mustang, so I had Tyler and Jason (Outlaw and Evilfordcoupe on the HAMB) at Flyrite order a 2.2 gallon one from Paughco for me that is quite a bit narrower...more of a 'peanut' style than Mustang.
I'm leaving it mounted high like it is in the pic, but I moved the mounting location back about an inch.
While we're on the subject, before you spend crazy money on a tank on ebay, check around...Some of them are still being made new. I got the Paughco for about the same price an old beat-up and rusty one went for on Ebay a couple of weeks ago. Thanks Tyler!

a new MAP clutch and MAP oil filter.Very good. They make great products.Their big bore kit is tits.

i`ve posted shots of this triumph before...but it just keeps evolving every time it hits the shows....this is the latest
Whoa...the whitewall changes its looks a lot. I think I liked it better before when it had a blackwall on the back. Still a killer bike though...very inspiring.
Thanks for the pic, Mr. surf monkey! Any more?

SurfM.....thanks a BUNCH!!!....that bike just gets better.

Whoa daddy!
That bike does continue to evolve... but I find it amazing how the guy can show restraint in some areas (plain simple construction, no stupid parts hung on it just for the sake of hanging them on)... but not in others, like the stickers and the whitewall... I guess that's where taste takes over from function.
But that has to be the most awesome Triumph bobber around... and "Oakland orange" to boot!
Don't be surprized if mine ends up reinding you a lot of that one... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
