Can anyone post pics of cars built by Tom Prufer?
(besides the Cop Shop Coupe; I've already down-loaded lots of those http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif).

Thanks!

I bought a 72 2wd lowered blazer from Tom a few years back. It was done the right way thats for sure. My wife and I went to his house to pic it up and man did he have a nice shop setup. He was a totally cool and laid back dude. I still have the plates that read "Prufer" from that blazer. I have pics, but probably not the type of hot rod you are looking for.

Sorry,

I dont have any pics but I can recall a number of his cars in R&C was the black flamed Deuce three window, American Rodder had the red version, on the cover of a later R&C was his red and flamed Deuce three window at Oakland. The book Hot Rods By Pete and Jake had a couple of Prufer cars in it as did Bo Bertilson's Classic Hot Rods book. Early Rod Action mags also have Pruf's Track T and his A roadsters on Deuce rails. As with the Cop Shop Coupe, he always got the right men on the job, P-Wood, Pete and Jake etc

He lives about an hour from me but he is not a computer person. He has just finished another Model A roadster on 32 rails that is black with flames. I may see him in a couple of weeks and I will try to find a source for pictures of his cars. I hope I can remember.
