Well here it is, my official intro. I figured I'd get it over with before I get hollar'd at!! Well this is the first car I've built. I bought it as a basket case (or cardboard box case) about a year and a half ago. It was kind of a abandoned project. Dad and I did all the work in my garage. Paint, body work, fabbing the whole 9. Got it on the road a few times last summer with lot's of problems but hell I got to drive it! So this winter I was trying to get all the bugs worked out and seems to be doing a lot better, so far, this year. I've been into Hot Rods just about my entire life and have enjoy'd every minute of it. I've always had a fasination with all the different styles, ideas and creativity there is in this hobby. My first experiance was in my Dads T-bucket in about 1978 or so. He started building the car in the mid to late 60's from a truck full of tubing for a frame... before my time. I'd love to scan some pics and post those to share. But anyway, blah, blah, blah.
So my car is a 34 Ford, and yes that is a 350 chevy in there so flame away if you must!! But I dig it mostly cuz it was free from a friend of my dad!! No interior and half the windows so far. But a little at a time!! It's chopped 3" and channel'd about 6. And still a lot to do! But, I love to learn and sponge as much as I can from just about anyone willing to chat. I've been hanging out here for awhile and love this place and have learn'd a ton so far. So thanks to all, and thanks to Ryan for a great place to hang out. I look forward to meeting a lot of local people this year and hopefully some not so local!
Regards,
