Attn: Old racer dudes

Ok guys, Any of you old racer guys here have a cowl mounted
steering box hiding in all your stuff? I need something like
an "schroeder" type Box that was/is used on the circle track cars that I can adapt to the street.

Those center steering boxes are probably way too quick for use on the street. Most have ratios of 6:1, 8:1, and 9:1. I'd advise making a unit from a passenger car gearbox....something 12:1 or even slower.

Been thinking that over also, I got a '67 mustang box that
I was trying to sell. Might have to see how hard it will be
to extend the shaft and fab. brackets since no one wants to buy the 'stang box.
