Chopping a 49 Chevy 2 dr? Advice?

I may be getting a 49 chevy that is down at our shop. I would like to chop it, I was wanderin if anyone has chopped one before, any tips? Picture would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

See Carl Cerny's car in the January '52 Hop Up (pg 244 in Morty's reprint) and Spencer Murray's in June '52 (pg 490 in the same reprint). Both are near perfect customs, but I prefer the tilted B-pillar on Cerny's.

There's a guy in MN who built a similar car in more recent times, but I don't know his name. Red, Corvette grille in a Merc opening. Coool!

I wanna say Tex Smith's How to Chop Tops has a write up on the 49 Chevy with pics.
If so I can post pics if ya need em.
