Well....since it hasn't started yet...I guess I'll kick it off.
Here is what I did this week....I had been doing so much computer art and pinstriping lately that I had forgotten to do any pencil or ink drawings. This was done in felt tip pen. Then I scanned it in to the computer and played with some colors.

For some reason the stuff I upload to the net never comes up on the screen as good of quality as the original, but oh well.

Just finished this Hot Wheels custom. It was a Boyds car that I think was a '37 Ford full fendered. I modified the whole thing, including adding the blown SBC. Enjoy!

Seems I'm never home enough lately to get anything done.
Here's a bike helmet I did for a local kid. Kind of a quickie job but OK I guess. (pushbike not motorised, rules here are that anybody riding a bike must wear head protection.)

Great work again this week everybody...
N8 you rock!
I got a wild hair up my ass this week and came up with a business card design. Talk about putting the cart before the horse, I got a lot of practice do to before I start taking my pinstriping this seriously but at least it gave me a chance to play with illustrator some more.
Please don't take this as an attempt at spamming the board. I just wanted to share the design. In fact if you do call or email me for a job you will get turned down. I'm still in training.

Thanks to SteelePheonix, Dave and the rest of the gang over a SketchKult for helping me refine the design.

This is a cold casting. Its cold cast iron (just for fun). I'm calling it 'Skullduggery'. Its about 8 or 9 inches long and I have it mounted on 3/4 inch black acrylic.

I cast these from my silicone mold using Hydrocal, a very hard, smooth plaster - they are pretty good. A few pinholes, but nothing that can't be fixed easily. I plan to try a few different finishing techniques - faux bronze - maybe an acrylic color wash?
Anyone have any ideas about a finish?
The finished roadster is made of cold cast bronze - a resin with bronze powder. I am trying to find a good deal on the stuff needed for this method, but the Hydrocal ones are pretty good.

I don't often post on the Friday art show, cause I'm not very artistic.
But here's a great srt post for Easter!
I do these Easter eggs every year, mostly give them out to friends and family on the holiday.
My grandmother came from the Ukraine, and taught me and my sister how to meke them. Quickly, they are "painted" on with melted wax. The wax preserves whatever color is on them, like the fist round, is the basic white of the shell. Next the egg is dipped in a light color, usually yellow, and drawn on again, preserving the yellow (kinda like masking off graphics on a car). Then to orange, red, blue, whatever. The last color is usually dark. Then the wax is melted off, the egg blown out, and varnish applied to give it shine and protection.
Here are the last ones I did this year as the varnish dries.
Happy Easter HAMB!
BTW, these eggs have the 00Mack seal of approval! He digs them!
