Hello, my name is Rick and I live in Hartland. I have been into cars my whole life. I got my start the same year as NASCAR and SCTA in 1948. My handle is Scrap Fe. “Fe” is the element designation for iron, hence the verbal pronunciation “Scrap Iron”. I have been married 32 years and have two grown daughters. I have been lurking here off and on for a couple of years and after reading about the recent Lone Star Roundup and HAMB drags from last summer I decided it was about time to post my intro. I know a few of the HAMB members from my association with the RRT.

I’m currently building a 1939 Chevy 2 door sedan that I’ve owned for 22 years and collecting parts for a future Model A roadster project. I hope to share the knowledge I’ve gained over the years to prevent someone from making the same dumb mistakes I made. Remember, experience is the first thing you get right after you need it.

I look forward to meeting some of you at Jefferson in a couple of weeks.

Hay Scrap Iron nice name, I love it when there is a lil thought used in picking your HAME name, the use of the elemental chart for a name is very cool ...Any how welcome to the HAMB from another cheese head.... look forward to meeting you at Jefferson

Hey Rick, finally quit the lurking eh!

Better get cracken and get that damn Chevy done. Remember, just finish the frame and put the body on it the way it sits. That car has some of the nicest patina I've ever seen.

GIT ER DUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
