That looks great! (Interesting place to route the exhaust).
Is the exterior staying like that, or does the customer have something specific in mind?

that looks nice....i see you used an original `32 firewall and managed to get the motor in without modifing it too much. what are you using for steering? looking at the passenger side,it seems like it will be a tight fit on the drivers, with the headers and clutch pedal

The steering is f-100. mated to 38 ford column and banjo wheel. We utilized the stock column lock from the 38. The steering is a tight fit with the starter, that is why I had to cross the exhaust over to the passenger side.
thanks for the kind comments. We are hoping to have the car done for the lonestar roundup.

The frame is from Squeak Bell of the kiwi connection. The front has a model A crossmember, with 4.50-16 tires. The rear has a crossmember that we made in the shop, with a 40 ford spring, and an early style nine inch. The rear tires are 7.50-16. I am so glad to finally see the car in its finishing stages. I will see if I can find some more pictures to post.
thanks
Jimmy White
P.s. the coupe is in temporary storage until I get to fix a few things on it.

Super nice piece. The Olds looks great in there, nice fit to the firewall too.
What trans and rearend? And did you kick the frame any in the rear. The wheel and tire fit is just right.
hemi coupe
02-22-2004, 10:56 AM
The firewall was a ton of work, I am fortunate to have a guy that works with me that is pretty good at sheetmetal.
Grant peterson spent some good hours making all the template pieces for the firewall. between the two of us there is probably 3-4 days worth of work in it. The Trans is a camaro t-5 with a blazer tailshaft, it puts the shifter in the right spot. The rear end is an early style nine inch. The frame is not kicked up in the rear we just made a flat crossmemember for it.
thanks

thats funny you should ask bobby, I was thinking of painting an Iron Cross on the door and maybe a number 6 on the cowl. I am also thinking of maybe stripping her down to bare metal. Oh yeah I cant forget the summer welds, some of it is welded some of it isn't. you better be going to Texas FOOL.

I mean, that's like almost 2 months.......you'll never get to Texas on time with that schedule...........don't you have another car that needs to be built?........GNRS baby........

Rudy Rodriguez goes on and on about the quality of your work. (that's a serious compliment) Now I know why. That floor is a work of art. As is the rest of your work. I am so glad southern California still pumps this kind of stuff out. It feels like being a Catholic in Rome.
