I think that the most valuable resource that this board has is its members, and because of these garage geniuses the HAMB has the absolute best tech info that I could ask for, it simply blows print media, or anything else, out of the water. Would it be possible for Ryan (or whoever) to gather this information for hambers and make a little coin at the same time. I'm thinkin that the HAMB needs to sell cd rom, or dvds full of HAMB tech info. I find myself always saving great tech threads, especially during tech week, as .mht files and burning them to a disk. What if someone technically savvy enough gathered a ton of tech threads, burned them to dvd, stuck em in a jewel case with a simple label and sold them for a small profit. I'd happily pay $20 a pop for something like that. I know we have the techomatic, but I think if I was searching for a particular thread or idea, and knew it was on a disk I had, I'd check that first before posting a question or wasting bandwidth. We have so much great information, and this would be a great way to archive it and make it easily accessable for everyone whenever, and could be a god send for people with dial up, like me, who spend most of their time on here waiting for a search to come up and for threads to load. This has probably been kicked around before, and I know Ryan probably doesn't want to waste his time running a HAMB store, but I know I'd buy one, or even a whole series of them, there's plenty of great stuff on here for multiple volumes. This may be a dumb idea, but I wanted to at least try and contribute something back to this great community. Thanks, David

It's Solely up to Ryan on this and a decision for a profit company which is a whole different can of beans as in Tax code beans etc. etc.
He's the boss and his decision is the one that counts the most.
Thanks for your imput.
I'm sure Ryan will see it and ponder the idea.

bad idea.
who would you market that to? hamber's?
it's already here and it's free.
it's easier for me to log on and find crucial information than to pop in a dvd/cd rom and fast forward to the part i want.
i thought that was the whole point of the internet anyway, to give everyone easy and free access to information...
oh, and porn.

We can't forget about the porn. I really wasn't thinking that this would be a large scale marketable thing, and of course the only real market would be hambers. I was really thinking more along the lines of the hamb tshirts, or calendars - a small run of somewhat profitable items that would be useful to our members. I know it seems dumb when you can just search or start a new thread asking about the topic, but I was thinking from my perspective. If it were categorized or easily searchable, I think it would be something that people would use, especially in the future. I mean think about how much good info that has been lost over the years because of upgrades, server crashes, or whatever. I guess it is kinda redundant when we have the tech archives, but I had the idea and thought it was worth throwing out. Maybe someone smarter than me can come up with something better, i dunno...
