Just received a very cool looking "little mag" called Primer from Max Gearhead in the mail today. He wrote up an event coverage article about the Hunnert Car PileUp for the mag and used both mine and 35Pickup's photos for the acticle! Obviously there are ALOT of HAMBer's hot rods and kustoms in the photos and I can pick out a few screen names that they used. Unfortunantly I beleive it's a Swedish? publication and I can't read more then a few words...... but the photos are very cool to look at! http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Thanks for sending it to me Jim, I appreciate it very much!

Thank YOU for your pictures!! I`m glad that you got the magazine. Primer Magazine is FINNISH, not swedish, quarterly magazine of kustom kulture. Hot rods, kustoms, events, model cars, hot rod art...
This new issue is #8. Issues 1-7 are sold out. It has 44 pages, 24 of those are in colour.
Yes, text is finnish, but if someone is interested in what we are saying there, I can try to translate.
If you have questions or there is someone who wants the magazine, please contact : primer@kolumbus.fi

And big thanks again about those pics...

Congrats Denise. Feels neat seeing your name in the mag as a contributor doesn't it? I know it did for me last week when I got my issue of REV and saw my name there for the first time.
Keep taking them pics!

Platu, I'm honored that you thought my photos were worthy of PRIMER. I'm very impressed with the layout of the mag, quality of the paper and all the color photos, especially love the chop tech on the Caddy. Can't read the words, but from the step by step photos I got the jest of the article. Great job!
If you need photos from any other events that I attend, just ask. I'd love to contribute and I'm sure 35PickUp feels the same way. We'll get Max Gearhead here in Detroit for BilletProof in June and he can write it up for you and me and Mike can take the photos. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Thank to all for the kind words. As you guys know I love not only taking photos but sharing them as well. Makes me feel good when folks appreciate them.
Up Next.... tons-o-photos from the Detroit Autorama http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I got to see the whole Magizine tonight. All the photos were great. The Pileup pics were the best. I'm sure it was because of the Two HAMB'ers that took the pics http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif.
But i have to admit the spelling in the book was terrible. I couldn't read a single word. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Get the Mag to send you press credentials and you can get into events free and you will get special area passes to go where the general public is not allowed.Another plus is press parking and at some events the press gets free food and beverage.Congrats and keep up the good work..

Thats AWESOME Mike! Cover, it doesn't get any better then that. When I first glaced at the cover I thought, very cool, Speed Week coverage! No such luck. We'll have to change that for next year and send Primer photos and a story or two from there.

Hi,
Platu wrote earlier that Primer #1-7 are sold out.
But... I am Primer retail dealer and I still have two copies of #7 in stock.
If somebody got interested in, please contact me with email mapatsik@iki.fi.
Primer #8 is out and these are old numbers. Then I can also make a barter to Mag-neto or Car kulture deluxe mags.
Good for you Denise.
I've always been impressed by your well composed and clearly focused photos.
Looks like I'm not the only one.
Talent will out . . . well done.

Congrats Denise and Max! I just saw this thread (thanks to Max).
I'm trying to keep a "library" of all the Hunnert Car Pileup press, so I'm glad I found out about this. Was this in issue #7 or #8? Max, can you send me a translation of your article? I'd like to get a real copy of the zine, too.
Thanks for writing and submitting the articles and photos!
More pics of that inline sedan can be found on the Hunnert Car Pileup website here (http://www.hunnertcarpileup.com)
