It looks like I'm going to flame the ol' truck. I was thinking just basic, traditional styled/color flames with the old red steelies and gennie lancer caps.(truck is a 53 5window GM thats Black).
but, the buddies are trying to push me towards apple green steelies/chrome lug-nuts, no caps, and green flames.
so, if you had a real nice, freshly done black fat-fendered truck and wanted flames and painted wheels(w/wo caps) what direction would ya go? and staying solid black isn't an option. I'm lazy and theres too much black to keep nice.
so? ideas? pics? opinions? talk to me fellas.....

is it gloss black? pics of your truck might help. Me, i would do green wheels with green flake flames. Everybody has red steelies and trad flames, but if its your thing , do it, dont do what other people want you to do. Do what you like! Nate

Do it your way.
Let your buddies follow the fashion trends.
If your real lazy, just cover it up and forget it.
We have two red cars, a red truck, two green cars, a blue truck, an orange car, a black van, and a white ElCamino, that's going to havea silver flake roof and I haven't decided what color body. It could go candy red, (doubtful,) firethorne green, (I think that's the name of it, '77GM color), or midnight blue. Whatever, it's gotta go with a black interior.
I'd say you shouldn't paint a car a particular color just because it's trendy, and you shouldn't NOT paint a car a particular color just because it's trendy. Jst don't paint the dasy board a color you don't like because that's what you look at most of the time!

Gotta buddy of mine with a 53 chevy truck that's gloss black with red scallops (Scallop53's truck) and it looks pretty bitchen...what about traditional styled/colored flames done in candies? then shiney black rims with candy color detailed Dodge Lancer caps? just thinking....
Here's a pic of JohnyLongHair's truck before the chop and trad flames.
Clark
Same truck chopped with trad flames.
In the future it's gonna have the green flames again. Next time we'll have some candy green to blen them a little.
Dear god... Please... NO GREEN
I dont like Green flames... flames should look like fire...
keep it trad, cali style flames
otherwise you might as well flame it in leopard print or something...
maybe no flames at all...
LESS is MORE
i've seen more rods destroyed with flamejobs... in my eyes anyways...

Yes it has brand new diamondback wide whites
Yes it is gloss black
has white/black interior
just added 37 ford tail-lites
I like the traditional style/colored flames because:
a)How can you not like them?!
b)done right, they just scream badass!
c)I think if I wanted to sell/trade it off, I'd have a bigger market. And yes, everything is forsale/trade until I get the "right"one.
so, if I go trad. should I go with what I originally thought, red steelies with gennie lancers or no caps?
I also thought about a white bedcover(tonnou?sp?), will that like outta place with the flames?
thanks for the help, I get so many ideas running through my head it's hard to get them straight.

Johnnylonghair...that truck looks bad-ass! I'd leave the trad flames on it....
The yellow-green fire coming off of a copper penny, melting and burning on top of some freshly poured bronze is a beautiful color.
Yes, there is natural green flames.

Toss the Sunday funnies - colored - into a wood fire and take note of the flame color.
