ive seen quite a few coupes and sedans running wood dashes or inserts. some look like an abortion and a bad idea. but some with lots of laquare and time look great.

was this done "back in the day"

any pix of good use of wood in plain sight use? not just storage or whatever

thanx

Channeled roadsters have often been detailed to resemble British Sports cars and they have historically had varnished wood interior trim.
This is a HOBBY and people do and have done whatever they damn well please. If that includes wood, maybe because it's mor redilly available and doesn't require welding, then it has and will be done.

Made the dash for my 30 out of Honduran Mahogony, I send you some pics later. It was a first so there are some things I would do different, but overall it ain't bad. PM me and I will try to get some pics if that is what you are looking for.
