Friday is for load in, and yes there seems to be quite a bit of $$$ changing hands. Alot of the times the 50.00 grille shell sold on Friday sells for 350.00 on Saturday.....
This is basically San Diego's auto enthisiast's (all types, plus bikes) reunion. Alot of guys collect all year long and clean out the garage annually here. I'll see friends I havn't seen since last year and it's a big excuse to catch up on projects, kids, life and who's in jail (that was the big news last year anyway http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif)
If your in the area, then yeah, a Friday afternoon visit is in order. If not, bright and early on Saturday will get you a fair share of deals.
Looks like my best pal isn't gonna' be able to take the day off, like we have done in the years past, but I will be there on Friday (for posterity) walking and talking (and maybe a little drinkin'). Anyone care to join me?
To sum it up, if you go Friday, though not in full swing, imo, is a good time.
Maybe see ya' there? I'll be the fat bald guy http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I have always gone on Friday, I get there about 12 noon and stay till around 4:30. You can get in free and buy your head off. And yes get to see a lot of friends you haven't sean in a long time and drink a couple of beers. No more though, cause you still have to drive back to LA.--TV

Wear a shirt that fits for this one time, Damit! And watch where you're walking, bumping into people and stepping on their feet, NOT cool (HAhahaha).

Todays Register says it opens at 12:00 noon on Friday. Look in the "antique and classic" auto classified section.

Go ahead and just tell everyone about it!!!.......... that's all we need is more people/competition.
Friday is usually no parts and no people yet, Saturday has a few things but Sunday is the best time for all you new people to show up, you'll love it.
My wagon wheels are all greased up and the side boards are on. Don't worry the good shit is already gone before Friday morning.

Another great thing about the Big Three Swap Meet is that It's FREE!!!! to get in. There's no gates to jump. Parking was $8.00 2 years back.
