Hi, I just joined the crowd. Have been into cars since I started reading car mags in the late 40's. I am now only 69 years young. Started many hot rods in high school, always sold to start another project, in summer of 55 I finally finished one far enough to drive. 29 Model A roadster pick up with a 46 Ford flat head installed. It was chopped and channeled on a Z'd unboxed frame, both doors would pop open when you entered a service station on an angle. When you turned the steering wheel while sitting still you could watch the frame flex from side to side because I used cross steering. When it got too cold to drive pulled the engine and put it in a 40 Ford standard coupe, traded th 40 for a 49 Ford club coupe which I had leaded front and rear, door handles removed frenched head lights and tail lights and lowered all around, traded for a 50 Olds sedanette, traded it for a 55 chev 2 door post. Stopped cars and raced endro go karts from 1960 to 1972, was married by that time and out of cars.I have a 1948 Plymouth special delux that I an building a modified flat head 218 cu in engine for, also I am adapting 64 Chevelle spindles and upper A frames to the plymouth lower A frame with a Toyota Tocoma lower ball joint in a home made adapter. I have had this car for 20 years. I also have a 55 shev pick up with 235 cu in six with a Cliffird 4 barrel manifold and fenton headers and wayne valve cover and side plate. Tried to modify a 230 chev 6 HEI for the 235 but the cap hold downs hit the side plate and cannot get enough advance. I have had the pick up since 71.

Welcome aboard. Always nice to have one more who actually lived what so many of us are trying to recreate.
