View Full Version : another old fart trying to keep up with technology
Hi y'all, I have been building lo buck cars all my life, and have cought a little flak from it. However keeping costs down has been fun and challenging. I slid into the retro-rod area a few years ago when I built an old '29 roadster fashioned after something I remembered as a kid. I had less than a grand in the car and had logged in about 60 miles on the thing when I was challenged to go on the Hot Rod Power Tour. I accepted and survived. That particular trip went all the way from Michigan to sunny California. What that did was confirm what I had been telling others, that you didn't have to invest a ton of money, or build something that you were afraid to drive. This site has given me many new ideas, and listening to all you out there has been very uplifting. Many new ideas and procedures. This is gonna be a grin.

Norm,
It's about time you finally found this place and signed up. I heard Vassar finally got electricity so I thought you might wander in here. I asked some guys last summer if you were still around cause I hadn't seen you. You know a lot of the old guys on here from the local shows (BeeCool, Frankenmuth etc). I hear your cousin Ron Enos is living out in the southwest somewhere so I guess I need to find a new painter. You know any:D
I'll let you know the next time we all get together in Birch Run. And just a suggestion... stay away from those Flint HAMBERs ... their bad news:eek: :D
Welcome aboard
Rich

True words and well spoken --- low buck don't necessarily mean low tech
