I had, what turned out to be some kind of aftermarket wheel spindle nuts on my '55 Buick. They were a 2-piece POS with "Micro Nut" on them. The front part (towards the wheel) was a hex nut and the back part wast a castellated spacer. Both parts had teeth in them that mated together. Idea was to be able to give more precise pre-load to the bearings. Only trouble was, the nut had less threads than the stock Buick nut and the spacer was made out of either aluminum or pot metal. I went to spread the cotter key and the #%!*& thing split in half. There I was, nutless in New York !!

The local 'pic n pay' has a couple of feet or more of snow on there stuff, so it was going to hold up my project until I could replace the nut(s). Long-story-short, I put a wanted ad in the HAMB classifieds. Within about 2-hours, Enjenjo PM'd me that he had a set I could have for the postage !! Not only that, but he mailed 'em to me before he got the $$ so I could get my car moved. Enjenjo was not the only one to reply, either. Many thanks to you, enjenjo (and to the others that replied). You got me out of a jam quickly and it's really appreciated.

This place called HAMB is like a huge family, helping one another and I'm proud to be a part of it. I hope I'll be able to return the favor one day, by helping a bro' out of a jam.

Thanks again - you guys & gals ROCK !!
-Bob
