Well now, I intro'ed myself last week and the next day my post was gone, sigh, no one knows me now! I will try again, I be Rick Bivins aka ratrodrick and as the nick name states I like rat rods, traditional, nostalgia, ol'skool or what ever the next guy wants to call'm. I have a 29 Model A speedster/RPU with an 8BA for power in the works and a 160-B for my next project. I live in Madisonville KY and work in the aviation feild as an A&P/Linetech. I would like to hear from fellow ratrodders/Model A nuts so drop me a line here soon. ratrodrick

Welome back. If you REALLY want to survive here STOP using the term rat rod. Simple as that. I doubt you can came your name so we may have to live with that, otherwise, the RR word here is much like dropping the C word in the middle of the annual NOW, (National Organization of Women) sewing bee. Just not a wise thing to do, get it?
As I said at the start, welcome back.

Don't blame Vance, he's just trying to be nice and give a guy a head's up so he won't cry when the weirdo's attack him for dropping the Double R term.
Welcome back? Or again? Or hell I dunno, it's time for a nap and my AARP card.:o

Thanks Brandy. I was just giving him a taste of what would happen if he dropped the RR again.
Seriously Rick welcome back. I'm sure you'll have fun here and make some great friends.

:) I was turned on to the HAMB by a guy at a rod run in Evansville IN. He has a Model A coupe, flat black, red wheels SBC etc. A few others with him had cars of this type. I thought they were so kool (cars & guys) so I started to learn about them insted of the Boyd cars. The more I ask the more I heard "rat rod" I did not know the term on the HAMB was a "know NO" See people, I can learn insted of nit pick some one just because of a name!!! I may stick around a while longer...just to see. BTW I am happy to say I have learned a lot from this sight.....ratrodrick P.S. I will not drop my nick name or ideas, so, if you guys do not like it you can of course drop me.:(
P.S.S. Thanks Vance for the offer to return to the HAMB, it is appreciated(?).:)
I can't spell either. ratrodrick:D

See, that wasn't so bad, now was it? Just ast well thought out questions after you do a search for what you're asking for and everything will be fine.
Again, welcome back. Sounds like you're a quick learner.

A little hazing is all part of the Hamb experience. Hell, you could have called yourself traditionalrodrick and you still would have gotten shit. I think we should just call them hambrods.
