I know this is OT but before I try to sell my fathers Buick on E-bay, I was wondering about the cost of selling a vehicle? I have never sold a thing on e-bay therefore I am clueless on prices. Does anyone have experience with this type of sale? If it makes a difference, there will be a $15,000 reserve attached to it. Thanks in advance, and sorry for the OT post -Joe

$40 insertion fee and $40 final transaction fee if it sells. Just sold one last week. Good luck. I didn't have a reserve so you might want ot check on that.

Yeah that's right Draglink. I misunderstood. here's what the rules are for the second $40.

You will not be charged a Transaction Services Fee if:

there were no bids on your item
there were no bids that met the reserve price on your reserve price auction

But otherwise you will be charged a Transaction Services Fee whether or not you carry out the sale with the buyer.

oh and it looks like there's a $2 fee to use a reserve price.

Thanks alot! I might just have to put the old mans Buick up for auction. Its a little too gold chain-ish for the classified ads here. -Joe
