Yes, Hutto. Hutto, Texas. It's a little farm town in the midst of a housing boom, about 15 minutes out of Austin. That's where I hale from. Now about me. (I've been putting this off...)
My job is not the highlight of my life, so we'll skip it. I have worked previously in a number of fields, including race car and hotrod chassis fabrication. I have worked on everything from 35 Chevys to alcohol Pro Mods and 10.5 tire race cars. Prior projects of my own include a 1953 Studebaker Champion and a V8 S10. I have really been jonesing to build a Model A, so here I go.
My A frame was delivered a couple of weeks ago and sits in the middle of my garage with the engine mocked up awaiting decision on body work and suspension. (If you are in the market for parts, I can't say enough good things about Randy at LRS Inc.)
Shooting sports take a close 2nd to car stuff, or 3rd I guess, my wife is always #1.
I have a good background in many things mechanical/electrical/nautical, so feel free to hit me up with questions. If I don't have any idea, I just may find out.
Thanks to the powers that be for bringing us such a cool forum and all that goes with it. I look forward to learning and meeting new friends. See ya at the Round-Up!
