ROFL! That's fucking gross, dude. But like you said... can't complain about free! Keep us updated on this... I've always been interested in someone doin' some european customs... I'd love to fix up a late 50's Mercedes, the ones with the small fins and the vertial headlights. Pretty cool cars.

That was a very nice car in its day. It will surely make a sweet mild custom. What 'cha gonna do with those SU's?

EVEL: Nice 122. I just got rid of my last 2 Volvos last year. Between my dad and I, we still have a pretty good stash of parts. If you need anything, give a shout.

www.ipdusa.com (http://www.ipdusa.com) is a great place for parts.

Haha, congrats, Evel. Once you have that one up and going, it will last forever. Say what you will about it, but Amazons are damn sturdy and longlasting cars.

Junkyard parts are easy over here and even easier in Sweden. If you make a list of the smaller stuff you need I'll set it up as a free add in a restorer magazine over here. I'll guarantee you'll find most of it that way.

A Volvo with a rat under the hood nice buy. Whatcha going to do to it? I've always liked that body style. I think the wheels are a Ford bolt pattern.

Evel - I used to have a 67 122s like what you have. It was a great car. Parts are expensive, but there are plenty of places online to get them. If you find a cooperative Volvo dealer they will be able to order whatever you need. I called 3 dealers... the first 2 laughed at me, but the third one faxed me pages from his parts book to make sure I had the right parts, ordered the parts and shipped them to me.

There is a guy in Canada that has tons of used parts. I will try to find the info.

You should put the dead rat up on ebay. Official vintage ratina! You could get like $30 for it.

That used to be the most common car in Sweden. still I see of of them each day, but they are getting rare fast...

As nearly all midaged Swedes I have had a few, as well as a few PV“s. They used to be real cheap cars and hard to beat the shit out of.

Im more into American steel than Volvo“s, but try to searh for parts at The Swedish Volvo Amazon Club“s site. (http://www.amazonklubben.se/annons_visa.asp?typ=2)

Dude those dead rats creap me out. Every fucking car I buy has dead mice in it........ I can't deal with it too well. I usually make Laura clean them.....

When we were first building the H-bomb I was putting a roof skin on a 55 Chev Truck I pulled off the skin and there was a dead mouse in there. Max refused to take it out for me so I just welded the new skin on and left the mouse in there....

I thought this post was gonna be about blonde chicks and now you made me look at that dead rat.......

ICK.

Maybe this will make you feel better Bob. She's not blonde, but she's standing next to a vintage p1800ES

Evel,
Up until a few years ago, Volvo still made all the parts for all the cars they ever made. Someone supposedly bought the dies, etc off them to continue production

You probably have a b18 motor in there. A b20 will bolt right in and give you a lot more power... if you can find one.

This guy is good. I've dealt with him before.

My friend has a mummified cat in a plexiglass box, maybe we should put that rat in front of the cat for a mummy display.

Maybe you could still slap a set of single rib Raders on it. It's got a Ford bolt pattern.

The 122 was actually made until 1970 in Sweden. They came with 2 liter motors in 1969 I believe. The extra volume made a difference, here I am in Sweden with my 1970:

I always wanted to build one of these with a SBC. It would make a great road car.
