I think as a whole the country is already forgeting the rage we all felt from this attack. Now its back to politics a usual, each blaming the other for what went wrong and findin fault with whoever is in power. In the end it still boils down to money. The old formula: 1. Money is power. 2. Whoever has the money has the power. 3. end of story.
Its a sorry state our country is in when we can think that these problems can be solved immediately. When McDonalds came on the scene it trained us to expect everything instantly. Lets see, a Big Mac and world peace, sounds to me like they should take about the same time. Sorry for the rant, this stuff just gets me going.

Again a thanks should go out to the NY Fire and Police Departments, they did their jobs the way they should be done.
Today, everyone should think about those who lost loved ones that day. If you are one of those people, know that the rest of our thoughts are with you.
But bad situations breed bad decisions, and like FAB32 said, everybody wants things solved NOW. So by letting the Government form the "Office of Homeland Security" without careful consideration, and limits. It's sad, but O.H.S. probably has more information on us, than they have on U.B.Laden and S. Hussien.

Totally agree with Fab32 and 4t64rd and would just like to add we should not forget anybody who has given their life for this county no matter who they are, armed services or the regular joe. Just my two cents.

I received this today in an email..
Just Remember...When things get crazy and you feel pressured because you are behind schedule, think about this.
Next time your morning seems to be going wrong and the children are slow getting dressed and you can't seem to find the car keys and you hit every traffic light, don't get mad or frustrated; Maybe Someone wants us where we are..
After Sept. 11 ..I happened to call a man on business that I didn't know and have not, nor will ever, talk to again. But this day, he felt like talking. He was head of security of a company that had invited the remaining members of a company who had been decimated by the attack on the Twin Towers to share their office space. With his voice full of awe he told me stories of why these people were alive and their counterparts were dead .....and all the stories were just 'little' things.
As you might know, the head of the company got in late that day because his son started kindergarten.
Another fellow was alive because it was his turn to bring donuts.
One woman was late because her alarm clock didn't go off on time.
One was late because of being stuck on the NJ Turnpike because of an auto accident.
One missed his bus.
One spilled food on her clothes and had to take time to change
One's car wouldn't start.
One went back to answer the telephone.
One had a child that dawdled and didn't get ready as soon as he should have.
One couldn't get a taxi.
There were other stories that I hope and pray will someday be gathered and put in a book.
The one that struck me was the man who put on a new pair of shoes that morning, took the various means to get to work but before he got there, he developed a blister on his foot. He stopped at a drugstore to buy a
Band-Aid. That is why he is alive today.
Now when I am stuck in traffic, miss an elevator, turn back to answer a
ringing telephone all the little things that annoy me I think to myself, this is exactly where God wants me to be at this very moment.
Petejoe's added thought. I don't know if this is a major Plan or just dumb luck. But After losing a son, I really feel we are all put in this big bubble called Earth. The things that happen are all a result of the good and bad Will we place upon ourselves and each other and not any major Plan. Who's to know? My prayers today are for those who lost love ones on that terrible day.

(insert moment of silence here)
The Smithsonaian has an exhibit of different artifacts found in the rubble, if anyone is in the D.C. area, it is worth seeing. You can also see parts of it from the Smithsonian's website.

I don't think anyone will ever forget 9-11-01.
People will however, twist solutions and reasoning for it into something that is totally unrecognizable... http://www.jalopyjournal.com/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
My those who lost their lives two years ago... rest in piece.
And those who caused us this harm... rot in hell.
...and those people in the armed services... make sure they get there...
Sam.
I will never forget. Even though I´m far across the sea, I had one of my cousins working there. She is one of those who did survive. Today 9-11 got one more dark cloud here, you might have heard that even overseas. Sweden´s minister of foregin affairs died after being attacked by a knife man yesterday. Happened in the middle of Stockholm, at a store I visited 3 days ago... I was never a fan a her politic, but a murdered top politician sends cold chills down my back.

my dear usa brothers and sisters, if you go to all the effort of spending 75 billion a day to blow the shit out of a sandbox country for their oil, could you at least lower the price of gas at the pump when you get it?

Two years ago I stood in awe at what was happening in our country 9-11.
Four years ago I lost my soul brother to a motorcycle accident.
Today I am again in awe of what I saw this morning in our shop. You see I work for the military as a civilian and today when I looked across the shop floor from high above at 740ish AM. I heard nothing, I saw some of our guys praying , some just silent but all in recoginition of lives lost.BTW there was 100+ mechanics present today, not a sound was made. Most are servicemen or prior military like myself and it was breath taking.
Today is also my Mother's birthday .

I remember seeing the New York memorials 3 months after the tragedy. It was a representation of true humanity -Confusion-Anger-sadness-Bonding-Pride
I had a print of my 9-11 art in my pocket, In lieu of the moment- I grabbed it out of my pocket and placed among the other tributes, posters, pictures, and memorials. I can still feel the somber dark rain which fell on the day of my visit...Maybe I was more complelled by this experience because Today is my birthday........
I memory of those above the floors of the WTC that were hit and could not get out.......in memory of those in the planes that could not get out..........in memory of those sitting at their posts at the Pentagon that could not get out...........and in memory of the badass folks in that flight over Pennsylvania or even in the other flights that fought to thier deaths to stop this, then lost their lives. We salute you, but more than that wish you were here today instead.....................
