The Stance

As I was preparing to move to Austin a little over a year ago, a friend of mine put me in contact with a local headhunter. I was told that he knew everybody in town and that getting to know him would put me on the fast track. I called and after the typical employment questions, we started rapping about old cars. He had a Vette, but was really interested in building a Hot Rod of his own.

A year later and he has already accomplished the deed… “Headhunter” has gone from a guy with an admiration to a full on hot rod builder in a mere 365 days. Even more impressive? He built a car with “the look.” With the current rash of Model-A sedans featuring 7″ chops and 5″ channels, it is so refreshing to see a car built with traditional proportions and rear wheels actually located in the wheel wells.
