Westergard Custom

It’s no secret where I stand on the custom line. I miss the smooth subtleties and clean lines of the earliest customs built by the late Barris brother, Westergard, Bailon, etc… The custom world just seemed so much more elegant in the late 40’s and early 50’s. Building a custom car was less about being competitive and more about being deeply thoughtful.

When “rodbuilder” posted his latest project, I couldn’t help but smile. He did an amazing job on this ’41 Cad and really captured the essence of an early custom with stance, color, and amenities…
