More His… More Traditional

More His… More Traditional

I’ve talked about it in the past, but I love the idea of taking a well built contemporary car and “saving it” back to the traditional side. My good pal Don Moyer showed us a perfect example of this transition while thrashing on his Olds for Detroit this past year. Often times, it’s amazing how little it takes to make a car more timeless even if the car originally had its roots firmly planted in the 1980’s like Don’s did.

A relative new guy to the H.A.M.B. recently started with something quite a bit more neutral, made even smaller changes, and came away with a car that I can only describe as inviting. Model-A roadster pick-up’s are hard to resist to begin with… Slash the fenders, give it a stance, do something with the windshield posts, and you have something that is usually pretty damned choice. Getting the details right just adds to the effect. Sure, this example isn’t period perfect but it’s hard to argue with its charm.

Check it out.
