A bunch of people bugged me about reading this book. I relented and while not perfect, it is smartly written and incredibly thought provoking. Essentially, “Shop Class” covers our connection to the material world and how making shit with our hands grounds us and better prepares us for problem solving. Of course, it also covers what happens when society looses touch with those sensibilities…
I know, this isn’t exactly on topic… But I think about 99% of the folks reading this would get something out of this book. That said, I’ve closed comments on this post. I simply can’t face the politics that might follow it.
Just shut your pie hole and read the damn book.
