The Programs of Early Speed
Over the weekend, I got an email from Randy Hernandez and, fortunately for us, he’s been digging through his dad’s stuff again. This time he came out of the pile with a short stack of early programs from both the SCTA and Western Timing. The art is nothing short of amazing – most of them are simple pencil sketches ran through an early press. They feel delicate and detailed in a way you don’t see too often these days.
And once those covers were scanned, Randy couldn’t help but scan the content found in the August 15, 1939 program. So, here’s that book in its entirety:
