What I’m Thankful For…

First let me say that I hope that everyone on the HAMB had a Happy Thanksgiving… Its that Holiday that we typically gather on with family and friends, eat way too much, maybe watch some sports, and most importantly reflect on what we have to be thankful for. I figured I would share my hot rod ‘thanks list’, and if your not out shopping right now, maybe you can share yours too.

1. I’m thankful for my old car friends. Car enthusiasts are the nicest, most giving, and most helpful people I’ve encountered in my life by a long shot. It’s humbling to think about the number of amazing HAMBers and local hot rod buddies either who have helped me build my car projects, gave me parts, hung out at swaps, shared advice and garage space, and just became buds for life.
2. I’m thankful I got onto cars at a young age. The world of automobiles has opened so many doors for me, and although I might get burned out on the scene at times, I’ll never stop loving old cars; Its more than just a hobby, it’s a part of your life. I’m also thankful that my wife and family fully supports my passion as well!
3. I’m thankful for Mr. Cochran and the Jalopy Journal. Its hard to believe it was way back in the Summer of 2009 that Ryan was looking for someone to contribute to the Journal on a regular basis. I had been the Managing Editor at Hop Up till it went on hold earlier that year, so the timing was perfect. This place has allowed me to keep sharing what I love on a weekly basis. It’s icing on the cake that I get to call Ryan my friend as well.
