Video of the Day: Roadster Road Test!

Video of the Day: Roadster Road Test!

Do you remember making that first road test after building your car? It was likely after you (and maybe some buddies) found the 14th fuel leak, unstuck the left front brake, and got those spark plug wires in the correct order again. Once all the silly build mistakes get sleuthed, your ready to take the new hot rod more than a few feet away from your garage. I just love that feeling– Maybe a bit nervous, yet absolutely excited that it’s finally a real, running car. HAMB Editor Paul Smith recently documented a freshly-built ’27 T on just such a shake-down run. The sweet little Roadster is running a 1956 Oldsmobile 324 stacked with four Stromberg 97s, modified Belond headers with glass packs, and a 1937 LaSalle transmission. His GoPro is mounted perfectly behind the air cleaners, and although there is still some body rattle and suspension stiffness, you can still hear the Rodsville quickchange gears whine a bit in the video. Enjoy the ride!
