Listen up you Hot Rodding teenagers! Watch out for ‘Teenicide’… A term coined for death at the wheel of a teenager’s rattletrap! This education film from the early 50s is a little dry, but I figured it was worth the watch just for the cool jalopies barreling down LA streets at breakneck speeds. On a side note, it’s a little frustrating how this movie is directly linking the home-built hot rods to unsafe driving… Assuming that any kid in a modified car must be driving like a knucklehead. This is obviously part of why Wally Parks and the NHRA had to begin organizing and educating young hot rodders… And preventing Teenicide!
