Vesco Family’s Bonneville Footage from 1953 and 1954

How is possible that 8mm film footage taken at Bonneville over 60 years ago is just now being published? Haven’t all the old hot rod films been uploaded by now? Thankfully not, as here are two fantastic clips recently published by the Vesco family. If the name isn’t familiar to you, they are legends of land speed racing first through father John, then his sons Don (RIP) and Rick in both cars and motorcycles on the salt. John Vesco built some wicked home-built streamliners and lakesters in the 50s, and here are two films of his creations running at Speed Week, including killer footage of the push truck, the pits, and other participants- Save the Salt and Enjoy!
