Raise Them up Right…

Raise Them up Right…

I ran into this killer candid photo taken at Bonneville (around 1957, I’m guessing) of a young brother and sister just playing on the salt, and obviously having a great time. This picture reminds me how important it is to take the children in your life to enjoy car stuff with you. Just by letting the young ones be part of our passion, it helps insure there will be another generation to carry on what was once passed onto us. Summer is here, so take a kid to the drags, to a local car show, or just let them help you change the oil on the hot rod. Answer a few questions for that neighborhood boy who keeps riding his bicycle past your garage real slow with his mouth hanging open. I’m hoping one more boy or girl growing up with hot rods and customs in their life is one less kid choosing to get a laptop over a first car at 16. We gotta have somebody to leave all this cool stuff to, right?
