A Night at Roy’s Shop

A Night at Roy’s Shop

It’s really good thing when you get invited to Roy Brizio’s South San Francisco shop for a ‘car guy’ dinner. Its even a better deal when Roy himself spends the evening with the group, talking about restoring the Kopper Kart, the Sam Barris Merc, and building countless other period hot rods for John Mumford (like his AMBR ’27 Roadster), Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and many others. It also doesn’t hurt that Mr. Brizio is the nicest, most down-to-earth builder you could possibly meet. Roy was prepping and housing customer cars for a run up to the big Deuce Days event in Victoria, BC that was leaving the next day, including Vic Edelbrock Jr.’s 32 coupe, Ed Pink’s ’29 Roadster, and a certain coupe I think 3wLarry will appreciate. I only snapped a few shots of their current shop projects, including a super rare 1933 Willys roadster, a 1932 Lincoln Victoria rod project, and slew of ’32 Roadsters and Coupes in various states of construction. Its humbling to see the level of craftsmanship the shop possesses and it shows in the quality of their work. Yes, Roy, I will be coming back!
