“Old Elephants limp off to the hills to die; old Americans go out to the highway and drive themselves to death with huge cars.”

The Day of The Drags went down this weekend just north of Austin. My pops, brother-in-law, and I all hopped in the wagon to make the scene. Once there, we parked our asses on the bleachers and watched pass after pass… We didn’t move for hours and wouldn’t have budged at all if it weren’t for a corn dog calling every now and again. I was bummed to see the roof was lifted from the bleachers and all of my shade was freed to do whatever shade does when it’s not keeping me cool. Still, it’s hard not to have a good time at such a laid back event. Ain’t drag racing grand?
