Aviator 5 Gauge Panel

Aviator 5 Gauge Panel

A few months back, I got a private convo from “Pinstriper40” with some sketches of a 5-gauge dash panel he was thinking of making. The panel was cool… but to me, what was cooler was the fact that this guy had a vision in his head of a gauge panel and seemingly couldn’t be stopped until it was an actual tactile unit that he could hold in his own hands. Damn the practicality of it all, this guy was gonna do it.

And you know what? He did just that… He designed a dash panel with a pencil and a piece of paper, made a form, and sent it off to be casted in aluminum. It turned out so nicely they he made a few extra to sell and now they are available through his website here. Not bad for $225, no? And cuz I’m some kind of lucky, he sent me one to review. It’s a chunk of bare aluminum that was casted nicely and ready to be decorated with gauges as you see fit.

That, my friends, is hot rodding.
