Bill Cox’s Cab

Bill Cox’s Cab

I’ve been enamored with ’32 Cabriolets for a couple of years now. In fact, I have regular dreams about the Berton Cabriolet and would jump at the chance to talk Dave Simard out of the car… But that’s never going to happen. So, I just sit and wait… and, as it turns out, field emails like this one:

“Ryan, take a look at Rod & Custom from February of 1961. Turn to pages 24 and 25. I just unearthed that very car and I’m getting ready to restore it back to how she was in ’61. Be patient and after the holidays, I will post pictures.”

So, what’s on pages 24 and 25 of the February issue of R&C? Bill Cox’s cabriolet.

Lucky bastard.

Editor’s Note: This post was not supposed to go live today… but was scheduled to publish in December of 2011. I held the post back due to lack of evidence and for some reason, my software decided to go with it today. In any case, I believe this car has already been restored? Anyone know?
