Time for a Commercial break…

Lets mix it up a bit today and check out some Commercial vehicles from the 30s and 40s- Art Deco tanker trucks, moving vans, beer wagons, and other pieces of rolling sculpture. It’s hard to believe there was a time when companies would pay to have coach-built delivery vehicles designed (often by transportation legends like Brooks Stevens) to catch a consumer’s eyes. I would argue that many of these beautiful behemoths have more hours of thoughtful design invested than your typical mild custom of the era. Who knows, you might pick up some style inspiration for the next pre-war project while your perusing these killer images.
