Car Craft ‘Grab Bag’ Part 5

Car Craft ‘Grab Bag’ Part 5

Yes, I lied when I said Part 4 was the last one in this series. I just keep finding a few more gems that are worth sharing, so shoot me. This grab bag was all about how to divide two tone paint with side trim options, which is something many customizers don’t really think about until they are getting ready to paint! By 1955 when this issue came out, Detroit’s stock side trim came in an array of possibilities to divide a car’s colors in some very creative ways. I’ve always gravitated to the curving Buick spear trim, but I like the option of adding 1955 Merc window trim they’ve suggested as well, just to mix it up. Another two tone trim style you don’t see utilized often is ’55 Pontiac side chrome (either stock position or flipped around backwards as you see here) on a Shoebox Ford.
