Ladies Night

When I first came up with the idea of having guest editorials while I took leave, I thought of Mark almost immediately. I didn’t know if he could write or not and frankly, I didn’t care. The man just has so much passion… And that’s what really matters.

If passion is what I wanted, passion is what I got. Kelly sent over not one, but THREE spots. How can you beat that? This one is my favorite:

Twenty years ago I was down on my luck and raising my daughter, Christi, as a single father. We were living in my uncles garage and basically had nothing to speak of. Raising my daughter and working constantly made for a tough life.

One day, I met this really cool lady in K-Mart and we went to dinner. Well, after a few dates it just sort of clicked. Her son Jeff and my daughter got along so well and before you knew it, Kelly (aka Ladyshifter) became my wife. I remember her asking me about my interests early on.

“Well… Hot Rods,” was my answer.

I think where I am going with this is that if you have the right partner, heaven’s window opens and I know that Ryan can agree. So here I want to thank my wife Kelly for giving a guy a chance with his hobby and taking care of him when things weren’t so great. She brought a family together in the process. Kelly, I would not be in this picture today with my most favorite Hot Rods without you… I love you with all my heart.
