Bonneville, 1951

Eight full minutes of silent beauty… I believe this film was shot at Bonneville in 1951. There are real gems to been found here too. Kenz & Leslie, Bull Burke, Tom Beatty, Barney Navarro, and many others make cameo appearances. The color is simply wonderful and the silence just seems to add to the dramatic visuals.

It seems like 1951 was a big year for camera guys at Bonneville. I’ve unearthed a lot of old footage like this from the early Bonneville events and nine times out of ten, I find them to be from the same year – 1951. I’ve always wondered why that was the case.
