‘Tobacco King’ Rocket Car

We’ve talked about Turbonique more than a few times here on The Jalopy Journal as well as on the H.A.M.B., but a user tipped us off on this one (thanks John!) and I had to post it. Zachary Reynolds (of R.J. Reynolds fame) had this car built in the 60’s in an effort to scare the skirt off of anything that dared to look long enough. Not only did the ’64 Galaxie feature a ‘Rocket Drag Axle’, but a pretty hefty Latham blown 427 as well. Package all of that scary shit up with a killer stance and you’ve got one sinister looking street car capable of doing some very bad things on the quarter mile.
