Race Of Gentlemen

Car shows are pretty damned lame when you think about it. “Hey man, lets go park our cars at that giant convention center over there and then shoot the shit for two days while we spend our dough on over priced hot dogs and watered down beer.” Not exactly the ingredients for a good time, right?

I gotta hunch Mel and the Oiler’s Car Club might agree with me. In the past, Mel has put together some pretty special events, but from what I’ve seen in pictures, this past weekend takes the cake. He put hot rods on the beach… And then raced them! How do you even get cities and people with badges to let you do that? How does this even happen?

I’m starting to love the East Coast. Damned Yankees know a thing or two about doing it up right.
