The Homemade Engine Stand

I’ve always had a thing for vintage engine stands. One of my favorites is the old K.R. Wilson units that seem to go for an arm and a leg these days. One of these days I might lose my senses long enough to actually buy one, but until then I stumbled across a pretty cool idea from the February, 1954 issue of Car Craft Magazine. Just leave it to Tom Medley to be both thrifty and smart, right?
