This one is off topic, but I loved the history and the visuals… The Flying Yankee was built as an answer to the Great Depression. When Americans fall on hard times, they fight back with technology and innovation. Both were found in spades aboard the Flyin’ Yank. Features such as fixed windows, air conditioning, and an ultra speedy diesel electric made the train one of the fastest and most comfortable in the world back in 1935.
All that said, it’s the Yankee’s style that really turns me on. Looking fast sitting still never looked so good.
